Automation Solutions
ACAD Design Corp. designs, fabricates, and integrates some of the highest quality automation systems in the industry. With over 30 years of experience, we are adept at solving the unique challenges that each customer faces. As always, we are committed to finding cost-efficient and ergonomic solutions for automation tasks in almost every industry.
Industries Served
Our automation-designed and built equipment can be used in virtually any manufacturing industry, including:
- Automotive
- Medical
- Aerospace
- Food & Beverage
- Packaging
- Industrial
- Plastic Injection Molding
Robotics
Built with four or six axes, robots can better mimic human motion than a standard two-axis machine. Mimicking – and relieving – humans so they can work elsewhere is the end goal of robotics. They offer better speed, accuracy, and repeatability. ACAD is committed to remaining innovative in this field and is able to effectively integrate robots with our automation.
Advantages of Robots
- Better speed and accuracy
- Repeatability
- Reduced chance of human error
- Application versatility
- Shorter cycle time/reduced downtime
- Lights out manufacturing
- Predictable productivity
Our Robotic Work:
Robotic Hipot Air Knife Tester
Laser Marking
Laser marking, also known as laser etching, is a process that uses a laser beam to create a permanent mark on a surface. It is often used for serialization, marking products, or part numbers. ACAD is proud to offer its Class 1 Certification for automated laser systems.
- Serialization
- Product or Part numbers
- Time or manufactured date
- 1D and 2D Barcodes
- Engineering Markings
- Functional Markings
- Logos
Advantages of Laser Marking
- Speed
- Can be used on plastics or metals
- Permanent marking – won’t wipe, smear, or wear off
- No mess – no inks or solvents as with continuous inkjet or printing
- Clean – no waste, no consumables, no byproducts

Vision Systems
Vision systems are used to determine presence, absence, measurement, assembly verification, and defect contamination when inspecting a manufactured product. At ACAD, we combine cameras and robots for quick and efficient inspection.
Advantages of Vision
- Speed
- Accuracy
- Reduced subjective human error
- Ability to see very small details/defects
- Statistical process tracking
- Robotic vision guidance and bin picking
Our Vision Work:
Idler Inspection System
Assisted Assembly Equipment
These value-added machines assist operators by using different automated mechanisms to verify and assemble parts. In essence, the operator will put a part into the machine, the machine will perform its assembly task, and a sensor will then make sure it was assembled correctly.
Advantages of Assisted Assembly
- Improved workplace ergonomics (reduced repetitive operator motions)
- Repeatability
- Consistency
- Reliability
Our Assisted Assembly Work:
Differential Assembly Line
Material Handling
Whether it’s part trafficking, conveyors, moving things between cells or within a cell, or from one work area to another, safe and efficient material handling is essential.
Advantages of Material Handling
- Speed
- Automated movement
- Reduced repetitive operator motions
